Fall Blocks

Last week my Ward's Relief Society met for our monthly activity! This month we made "Fall Blocks!" Such a creative idea!

The girl in charge cut out 3 tall blocks, one shorter one, and a tiny tiny block as well. We painted the blocks in a color or colors of our choice. Then we took sand paper and sanded the edges of the blocks to give a rustic look. After they were completely dry and sanded we put on the vinyl letters. With a little bit of wire and hot glue, the project was finished!!

The Final Product!!

Now it adds a little bit of fall color to our bookshelf!!
Give it a try! It is SUPER easy!!

His & Her Mailbox

Things have been quite busy in the Woods' home! So it has been a while since my last post! But I have not stopped my creative adventure!!

I have a creative addiction!! Only I find that I have started many MANY projects and have a hard time finishing them...because something else amazing comes along and I start that (repeat this process over and over)!! So I am trying to back track and finish the projects I have previously started!

One of which is this adorable His & Her Mailbox! I, of course, found the idea on Pinterest! The original post came from a Blog called "Just A Little Creativity." You can click the link to check out her finished project. I, however did not like the "Theirs" section of the mailbox so I left that part out!

Here is my Semi-Before Picture! I totally forgot to take a picture before I started spray painting! I was just too excited!!

I bought this great piece for $1.50 at DI (Utah Thrift Store)! What a steal!!

Here is my box after the spray painting was complete!

Looks much better RIGHT?? I think so! But I was not done yet! I pulled out my Cricut and went to work! After many tries I got the letter to be the right size! Then I mod podged them on, let them dry and ended up with THIS!!

Amazing!! Now all I have to do is find a place to hang it up! :)

Pins Coming To Life!

Ever since I heard about Pinterest I have been hooked! I have spent hours pinning and pinning (my Husband would attest to this!)! I love making new boards and finding new must do's to add! Only one day I realized that my "must do's" were becoming "someday I will do that's!" I looked over my boards and there were so many pins that I hadn't even attempted to create!! How sad!!

So I took a good long look at ALL of my pins on ALL of my boards, memorizing the materials I would need to complete my "must do's!" After trips to DI and Garage Sales, I began to get quite the collection of items to use!

Then I went on a Spray Painting Vendetta! My Husband even jumped on the bandwagon! :) It started with Picture Frames then went to our Coffee Table then to his Desk! What a crazy fun adventure that is still unfolding! More and more pieces are being fashioned to decorate our home! I hope all of you will take part in our Journey of creating an Amazingly Wonderful life!

Here's a Sneek Peek at one of our Amazingly Wonderful Creations!
